2014 Emmy Nominations

It's been quiet here at Awards Wiz post Oscars. There's so much brewing between Brian's move to LA and everything that's going on with me in NYC. But I wanted to get a quick post out about the Emmys. Thanks to ABCnews.com for the list.

Big news for Netflix as "Orange is the New Black" takes the lead of nominations by a comedy series (12) and "House of Cards" gets 14 nominations. But HBO proves it's still a major player with the epic "Game of Thrones" claiming more nominations than any other show (19) and lots of love for "The Normal Heart" and "True Detective."

My favorite reality show, "So You Think You Can Dance" claimed seven nominations, including four for Choreography. The current season got off to what I felt was a weak start and it seems the show is catering to Fox's every whim in order to stay on the air. I hope the viewers keep tuning in and the sponsors continue to show support for it. It has been inspirational for so many young dancers and watching the talent grow and mature is spectacular.
